Arsenal Team News & Preview

Arsenal takes on Swansea City in the Premier League this weekend.

The Gunners have won their last five Premier League games in a row and will be looking to extend that run against a struggling Swansea side. Furthermore, Swansea have done well at the Emirates in the past and Wenger will be looking to avoid another disappointment here.

For the first time in the last decade, Arsenal look like a team capable of challenging for the title. The addition of Xhaka and Mustafi during the summer has given Wenger a top quality spine to work with.

The home side will want to continue their current run of form with another win here and despite their injury worries; it should not be too difficult. Arsenal will be without a few of their first-team players for Saturday’s clash. The likes of Mertesacker, Ramsey, Jenkinson, Welbeck and Giroud are all injured and will miss out.

Predicted Arsenal Starting Lineup (4-2-3-1): Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Xhaka, Cazorla; Sanchez, Ozil, Walcott; Perez

Swansea Team News & Preview

Swansea have had a dreadful start to their season so far and are 17th in the table, having failed to win any of their last six Premier League games.

Guidolin lost his job after the defeat against Liverpool before the international break and new manager Bob Bradley will have to impress quickly. The former USA national team manager recently claimed that he is just as good as the likes of Klopp and Pochettino and now is the time to prove it.

Swansea have done very well against Arsenal in the recent years and will need a similar result to lift the morale around the club.

The away side will be without Nathan Dyer for the trip to London. The winger is sidelined for two months with an ankle injury. Defender Federico Fernandez missed Swansea’s last three matches with a groin strain and is a doubt here. New signing Fernando Llorente missed the Liverpool game with a rib injury and will join Jefferson Montero (foot injury) on the sidelines.

Predicted Swansea Starting Lineup (4-3-3): Fabianski; Rangel, Hoorn, Amat, Naughton; Fer, Britton, Cork; Routledge, Baston, Sigurdsson

Swansea’s poor defense will be their undoing. Arsenal should be able to pick up a comfortable win at home.
