PSG defender Serge Aurier helped save an opponent’s life during Ivory Coast’s win over Mali. Early in the World Cup qualifier, Mali’s Moussa Doumbia collapsed and is said to have started swallowing his tongue. Aurier was quick to the scene and helped his opponent, before visiting him in hospital on Sunday.
“There is one thing nobody is talking about, which is the manner in which he helped a Malian on the pitch.
Mali’s manager Alain Giresse added that he spoke to Aurier after the game to thank him for his “superb reactions”.
